Aldama Elementary Team Members
Angelina Saenz
Angelina Saenz, M.Ed., is the lead teacher for the Aldama Elementary Dual Language Program in LAUSD. She has taught Spanish Kindergarten for the last four years. She has specialized training in Guided Language Acquisition, the Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, and Cognitive Guided Instruction in Math and Early Childhood education. Dual Language programs are her hope for a democratic and peaceful future.
Lacey Jung
Lacey Jung, M.A.Ed. with a concentration in Gifted and Talented Education, is the current Kindergarten English teacher for the Aldama Elementary Dual Language Program in LAUSD. She has taught English Kindergarten for the last two years. She has specialized training in Guided Language Acquisition, the Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, and Cognitive Guided Instruction in Math.
Amanda Kunkel
Amanda Kunkel co-piloted the Aldama Elementary School Dual Language program with Angelina Saenz in 2008. She has taught Spanish Kindergarten for one year and Spanish 1st grade for the past three years. She has specialized training in Guided Language Acquisition, and the Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project.
