TIIP IV Video Reflections
These video reflections were created by TIIP IV teams to document the impact of their work.
TIIP IV
In 2014 TIIP was invited to add the Instructional Capacity Building (ICB) Framework to its program. In response, UCLA TIIP proposed a two-part instructional capacity building program which included the funding of six TIIP IV teams. These teams were funded to develop and implement a learning plan for one school year. Administrators from these school sites were asked to work alongside teams to decide on a school-specific problem of practice to be the focus of instructional capacity building.
The five primary goals of this program were:
- To encourage creative and innovative school-site leaders by supporting their self-directed plan for professional growth.
- To enhance teachers' ability to present curriculum in compelling way.
- To assist teams in evaluating and revising their professional development plans through analysis of data.
- To develop teams as leaders in their profession by assisting them with dissemination and diffusion of their ideas.
- To help facilitate school reform by developing collaborative teams of skilled teachers, administrators, and school-site personnel.
