Project Based Schools visited by TIIP Team Davis

Through our TIIP grant, our team conducted "real world" research and investigation by visiting and observing schools that are structured entirely around project-based learning or design curriculum that is project centered within subject areas. The following schools were visited as part of our work. Included is a short description, address, and a link to their website, if applicable (please click on the name of the organization to be taken to their website).

Founded as a collaborative venture between local school districts and leading business and technology partners.  Students attend the CART campus for half of each school day. 

At the site they’re given professional, project-based instruction in Professional Sciences, Engineering, Advanced Communications, and Global Economics.

A Middle School/High School complex educating and inspiring students from some of Fresno’s most challenging neighborhoods.

The Bronx Guild was Big Picture Learning’s first high school in New York, and presently educates 500 students via a project-based approach incorporating internships and classroom-based instruction.

New Jersey’s first Big Picture High School combines a caring environment for students and families with a challenging approach to project-based, real-world education

Founded in the fall of 2000, the school serves approximately 570 students in grades 9-12 with a challenging project-based approach.

MIHS is a small learning community of approximately three hundred and ten recently-arrived in the U.S, limited-English-proficient students. The school is based on belief in collaboration and respect for individuals of all cultures.
