J. Carmelo Zamora

J. Carmelo is an upper grade teacher in the Dual Language program. He has worked in LAUSD schools for 17 years. In 1991 he graduated from Occidental College with a BA in literature and obtained his Masters in Elementary Education from National University in 2004. His duties outside the classroom have included STAR Testing Coordinator, Discipline Committee, and Grade Level Chair.

Mark Meer

Mark is a teacher & GATE coordinator and has been teaching for 10 years. He graduated in 2005 from UCLA with a Master's Degree in Education. The professional development opportunities funded by UCLA TIIP have allowed him to look at education from more of a world view. Grants such as TIIP are crucial to the growth and transformation of our schools.

Christina Dominguez

Christina is currently a first grade English/Spanish Dual Language Program teacher (English). Ms. Dominguez has been a classroom teacher for the past ten years. She is a graduate of the UCLA Teacher Education Program where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education and her Teaching Credential.  She is dedicated to creating a bridge between children's home lives and school.  Ms. Dominguez visits her students' homes to get to know them and their families before the new school year begins.

Jennie Mordaunt

Jennie is the Intervention Support Coordinator. She has 13 years experience working for LAUSD with 8 years as a teacher in the primary grades. As an Intervention Coordinator she runs the reading intervention program in grade levels Kinder through 5th and organizes professional development for the staff. She received her Administrative degree from UCLA's principal leadership institute (PLI) in 2007.
