Sharing Our Work

We have had multiple opportunities to share our work with teachers at our school, in our district, and across the state.

Summer 2011

  • We invited science teachers from across the district to participate in a workshop we put on with Dr. Passmore on Model-Based Reasoning. Teachers from multiple schools attended the 4-day workshop, completely funded by this grant.

Fall 2011

  • Team members presented early versions and results of a Model-Based Reasoning unit at the California Science Teachers Association Annual Conference. Our presentation was entitled "Using Socratic Labs to Teach Periodic Trends." Much of the presentation was delivered over document camera, but the powerpoint below illustrates our introduction.

Spring 2012

  • Team members presented professional development on reading at a professional development for the entire district, based on our work with Reading Apprenticeship.
