About Linda

Linda Arreola is a second generation Mexican-American Los Angelino. She produces work in painting, sculpture and installations. Arreola has exhibited her work locally and internationally. She received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in sculpture from California State University, Los Angeles and received a Master of Architecture degree from UCLA.  She is one of the featured artists in the two-volume book, Contemporary Chicana/Chicano Artists, published by Bilingual Press 2002. In 2008 she completed a public artwork for the East Los Angeles Civic Center Main Plaza commissioned by the County of Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the Durfee Foundation ARC Grant in 2008 and was awarded a City of Los Angeles (COLA) 2010 Individual Artist Fellowship. She will exhibit her work as part of the COLA Grantee Exhibition at the City of Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (May 20th - July 18, 2010).
