Student Sample 1: Romanovs

Student Molly did a good job in quadrant 2 of summarizing the class discussion about the video's techniques. Her drawing about the video account focuses on the affective detail of Alexi's death. In quadrant 3, Molly notes details about the "children" dying, but also notes differences in the account, subtly picking up on the fact that the text uses the executioner's reports heavily ("they thought that everyone was dead"). Quadrant 4 gives Molly's verdict: the text was better for conveying the graphic brutality of the execution.
